Camp Lacupolis offers an enchanting village of log cabins and camp sites, bountiful fishing, boat launching and harbor, warm hospitality and a peaceful place, nestled on the bank of Lake Pepin, the wide spot on the Mississippi River. Eighteen cabins offer guests a choice of rated from $55 to $150 per night, accomodating 2 to 10 guests each, all with kitchens, bathrooms, and air conditioning, nonsmoking and smoking. Overnight boat docking in our protected harbor at $5 per night, boat gas, bait, lures, boat rental, and a place to clean your fish complete the perfect fishing or boating vacation. Fishing cabins are open May 15 - Oct 1 and winter cabins are available year-around. Camp Lacupolis is located 9 miles downriver from Lake City and 3 miles upriver from Wabasha, Mn. In the late 1800s, before the road was built up river from Lacupolis, early settlers stopped at Camp Lacupolis, camping overnight before continuing on up river by boat to Lake City. Hence, the camp got its name, which means Camp Lake City in Greek, being located down river nine miles from Lake City.
