100 Miles of Friends

Lake Pepin on the Mississippi River

Welcome to one of the most beautiful regions in North America, Lake Pepin, the largest lake on the Mississippi River.

People travel here to enjoy the fantastic scenery and the wealth of outdoor activities including hiking and biking, bird and wildlife observation, fishing and hunting, golfing, private and excursion boating, and snowmobiling or skiing. Quaint and idyllic villages and towns feature museums, interpretive centers, antiques, and unique shops! The unparalleled diversity of restaurants and pubs ensures the perfect solution for every gastronomical desire!

Visitors are pleasantly surprised by the variety of friendly lodging accommodations in the area—tent camping to luxurious hotels and quaint B&B’s are eager to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Festivals and events are hosted throughout the year by local communities, including the “hundred mile garage sale” in May and in June the annual “Tour de Pepin” bicycle tour, a unique and popular event for bicyclists of all ages and skill levels. You may even catch a glimpse of our shy and elusive Lake Monster known worldwide as “Pepie”!

Our goal is that as you travel throughout our area you enjoy our local company, businesses and activities and go home with warm memories of your 100 miles of new friends!
